Prior to founding his office in 2010, Dr. Holscher studied law in Kiel and Hamburg. He obtained his doctorate in European as well as US-American antitrust law at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. In addition to his main studies, he attended a supplemental course in business law as well as specialized lawyer courses in intellectual property protection, commercial law and corporate law. To uphold and expand his specialization as a well-versed economic jurist, he perpetually continues his education in the afore-mentioned fields of expertise.

Dr. Holscher earned his spurs as an attorney at Preu Bohlig & Partner, who are well reputed as experts in the field of intellectual property protection. For five years he then managed a law firm in Hamburg specializing in intellectual property and media law, and since 2018 has been acting as Legal Counsel for Europe's largest climate week and Germany's best-known professional sailor in all legal matters.

Entry into a good partnership

For initial consultation, Dr. Jens Holscher Lawyers offers a fixed fee of EUR 260 plus VAT. For private individuals, the initial consultation fee is limited to EUR 190 plus VAT.

The first interview serves to build trust and clarify the facts of the case. You will receive an initial assessment of the legal situation and concrete proposals for solutions. The legal problems, risks and challenges of your concern are identified. The initial consultation also serves to assess the further need for advice and the corresponding costs.

Transparent and replicable

Normally, Law Firm Dr. Jens Holscher serves their clients for a fixed hourly rate. Said fee is being calculated on the basis of the required time exposure, which is measured transparently via tenth-of-an-hour clocking and recorded substantially in a monthly expense summary.

Depending on the legal field and work order, the hourly rate will be in the range of EUR 260 to EUR 340 plus VAT. Of course, you will already receive a concrete estimation of the expected expenses for specific tasks during the initial consultation.

Efficient and goal-oriented

Before getting to work, contractors usually agree upon a price with their clients. Dr. Jens Holscher Lawyers also offer you this option, which brings clarity and creates trust, as an alternative for an hourly fee. We are happy to discuss with you the services required for achieving the agreed-upon goals as well as the costs entailed.

When calculating the fixed price, we consider the benefit that you get from our services as our guiding principle. As we already start working our way into the case at that point, we will be together with you on the right track from the very beginning.

Exact assessment of costs and risks

Especially for private individuals and disputes to be settled in court, Law Firm Dr. Jens Holscher does also offer accounting in accordance with the fees of the Lawyers Compensation Act (RVG).

The amount of this statutory compensation depends on the economic value of the matter (value in dispute) and the manner or extent of the legal work (charging rate). During the initial consultation, you will already receive a concrete estimation of the expected costs as well as the accompanying litigation risks. If successful, both will significantly shift in your favor.
